Two southern belles, Delia and Melinda grew up together, each going her separate way after high school. Years later, they meet at Delia's manse to reminisce and catch up on each other's lives.
There they are, sitting on big wicker rockers on Delia's huge veranda, sipping away at mint juleps, fanning themselves with little paper fans, rocking and talking. Delia says, "My dear ol' Daddy died and left me this great big ol' house and all his cars."
Melinda nods and says in her sweetest southern belle voice, "That's nice."
Delia coos, "He left me the plantation, all of this land, as far as you can see."
Melinda nods again and says, "That's nice".
Delia gloats, "And he left me lots and lots of money."
Melinda nods and says, "That's nice."
Delia says, "Well, enough about me, what about you, what have you been doing?"
Melinda says, "Oh, my dear mama sent me to Atlanta to this wonderful finishing school." Delia asks, "What did you learn there?"
Melinda smiles and replies in her very best syrupy southern belle voice, "Oh, they taught me to be sweet and genteel and say 'That's nice', when I really mean 'FUCK YOU'."
