There was this traveling salesman who found
himself with the weekend off, so he called a very old friend of his to see if he could visit him for the weekend. Of course his friend was delighted to have him stay so the salesman drove up to his friend's farm.
When the salesman arrived at his friends farm, they shook hands and talked about the good old days for a while. Then the salesman friend said "Come on, I have something to show you that I know you will really enjoy." So they walked out of the front room into the
living room. Through a big door through a big room. Through a medium size door, through a medium size room. Through a small door through a small room and then out the back door.
They then walked over a large hill, through a large field. Over a medium size hill through a medium size field. Over a small hill, through a small field. To a large tree. It was here at this tree that the salesman saw a gorilla !!! tied to the tree. "He is great huh?" asked the salesman friend. "Where did you get him" asked the salesman. "I bought him from a small circus that was going out of business" his friend said. "NOW, no matter what you do, DO NOT TOUCH the gorilla" he told the salesman.
By this time it was getting late so they walked back across the small field, over the small hill. Through the medium size field over the medium size hill. Through the large field, over the large hill. To the back door of the house. They went through the back door, through a small room, through the small door, to the medium room, through the medium door, through the large room, through the large door and back into the living room. By now it was time to go to sleep so they both went to their own bedrooms.
The salesman, laid in his bed trying to sleep, but his mind kept going back to that gorilla. And the words of his friend, "what ever you do
DON'T touch him" kept ringing in his ears. "Why? Why can't I touch him?? Finally it got to him. The salesman gave up trying to sleep. Got out of bed, dressed and started to go to see that gorilla.
The salesman walked out of his bedroom and into the living room. He walked through the big door, through the large room. Through the medium size door, through the medium size room. Through the small door through the small room and out the back door. The salesman walked over the large hill, through the large field. Over the medium size hill, through the medium size field. Over the small hill, and through the small field. Back to the gorilla tied to the tree.
The salesman looked at the gorilla. He walked around the tree he tested the ropes and chains that held the gorilla tight. As he walked around the tree he kept saying to himself, "why?" "WHY?" then he started asking that same question out loud to no one but the gorilla and him, "WHY???"
The salesman could take it no longer, he reached out and very gently touched the gorilla with just his right forefinger.
*T*O*U*C*H*
The GORILLA broke free of his bonds and chased the startled salesman around the tree. The salesman running for his life, ran back over the small field, over the small hill. Through the medium size field, over the medium size hill. Through the large field, over the large hill.
Barely making it to the back door. The salesman tore open the door and ran through the small room, then through the small door. Through the medium size room, through the medium size door. Through the large room and then through the large door. Back into the front room, where the salesman ran into the side of the couch. As the salesman laid on the floor panting and fearing for his life, the gorilla towering over him, reached out with his BIG hands. Touching the salesman on his left shoulder the gorilla said "Tag, you're IT"
